What a wonderful week of Vacation Bible School we had this year. We had 142 different kids from 3 years old to entering sixth grade attend. The days were kicked off with music the kids loved, a skit that was entertaining and meaningful as well as some awesome prizes. The rest of the day was filled with activities that all had to do with our camping theme and the Biblical point of the day. Everyday the kids kept bringing their coins so that they could bring more than the boys/girls. In the end they were essentially tied but the boys pulled out by about a half an inch or so. All in all the real winners are the orphan kids in Nicaragua who will be receiving the sum of all those coins which ended up being more than expected, $866.64. Wow! What a blessing this will be for them. It will be great to hear how VBS goes in Nicaragua. Well, let next years planning begin. First thing is checking out next years theme from Gospel Light

The Global Children’s Forum of 50 people first met in July 2008 to discuss how they could, together, train one children’s leader for every 50 children on the planet. Currently there are 2.2 billion children living on the planet and at least 2/3 do not know Christ. Children make up 50% of the population in the most unreached “people group”. The task will be to get 200 world-class training-mobilizers working in regional teams around the world who will mobilize and network with 60,000 master trainers who will work in teams to mobilize and prepare 60,000,000 workers/teachers/leaders around the world who will work to reach and disciple 3 billion kids.
